The Journal of Management, Economics and Technology provides independent peer review of all scientific manuscripts submitted to the editorial office. The review policy is aimed at ensuring high scientific quality, objectivity of evaluation, transparency of procedures and compliance with ethical standards of the publication process.
All submitted materials are subject to mandatory review before a decision is made on their publication.
Review format
The journal uses double-blind peer review, which provides for:
- preserving the anonymity of authors for reviewers;
- preserving the anonymity of reviewers for authors;
- conducting an independent peer review by at least two specialists of the relevant profile.
Criteria for peer review
Manuscripts are evaluated taking into account the following criteria:
- relevance of the topic and scientific novelty;
- theoretical soundness and methodological correctness;
- reliability of research results;
- logicality, structure and quality of presentation;
- compliance with the journal profile;
- level of processing of the source database;
- adherence to the principles of academic integrity.
Responsibilities of reviewers. Reviewers must:
- carry out an impartial, reasoned and objective assessment;
- ensure the confidentiality of the received materials;
- notify the editorial office of potential conflicts of interest;
- do not use information from the manuscript for their own purposes;
- adhere to the established deadlines for preparing the review (no more than two weeks).
Rights of reviewers. Reviewers have the right to:
- recommend acceptance, revision or rejection of the manuscript;
- provide suggestions for improving the content and structure of the article;
- inform the editorial office of possible violations of ethical norms.
Responsibilities of authors. Authors are obliged to:
- take into account the comments of reviewers or provide motivated explanations in case of disagreement;
- adhere to the established deadlines for revision;
- guarantee the originality and scientific integrity of the submitted material.
Stages of review. The review procedure includes:
- initial review of the manuscript by the editorial board;
- appointment of at least two independent experts;
- conducting a scientific evaluation;
- preparation of reviews with recommendations;
- adoption of an editorial decision;
- informing the author about the result of the review.
In case of disagreements in the conclusions, an additional reviewer may be involved.
Confidentiality
All materials received by reviewers are considered confidential. Their disclosure or use until the moment of official publication is prohibited.
Ethical standards and conflict of interest
Participants in the review process are obliged to report the presence of a conflict of interest. In such cases, the reviewer is removed from evaluating the manuscript.
The journal adheres to international principles of publication ethics, in particular the COPE recommendations.
Editorial Decision
The final decision on publication is made by the editorial board based on expert opinions and the overall scientific quality of the manuscript. Possible decisions:
- acceptance for publication;
- acceptance after revision;
- rejection of the manuscript.
The Journal of Management, Economics and Technology provides a transparent, fair and high-quality review system in accordance with international standards of scientific publishing.
