This Policy establishes the principles and rules for the use of artificial intelligence technologies (hereinafter referred to as AI) in the process of preparing, submitting, reviewing and editing scientific materials. The Journal recognizes AI as an auxiliary tool of scientific activity, while emphasizing the need for strict adherence to the principles of academic integrity, openness and responsibility.
Principles of using AI
The use of AI within the Journal’s activities is based on the following principles:
- Transparency – mandatory information about the use of AI in the process of preparing materials;
- Responsibility – full responsibility for the content and results rests with the author;
- Integrity – prohibition of the use of AI to create unreliable or falsified data;
- Human control – all results obtained using AI are subject to verification and critical reflection by the author;
- Ethics – compliance with copyright and publication ethics.
Use of AI by authors
Authors have the right to use AI tools as auxiliary tools, in particular for:
- language editing, translation and improvement of the style of presentation;
- data processing, analysis and visualization;
- information search, structuring and systematization.
It is established that:
- AI cannot act as an author or co-author of a scientific publication;
- authors bear full responsibility for the reliability, accuracy and originality of the material;
- the fact of using AI must be properly indicated in the article (in the "Abstract" section);
- it is prohibited to use AI to create fictitious data, citations or research results.
Use of AI by reviewers
Reviewers may use AI exclusively as an auxiliary tool (for example, for language checking or analysis of the structure of the text).
Uploading manuscripts or parts thereof to open AI systems without the permission of the editorial office is prohibited due to the risks of breach of confidentiality.
Reviewers are fully responsible for the content of their conclusions and recommendations.
Use of AI by the editorial board
The editorial board may use AI for:
- initial technical assessment of manuscripts (language quality, formatting, compliance with requirements);
- detection of text borrowings and possible plagiarism;
- optimization of editorial and publishing processes.
At the same time, final editorial decisions on acceptance or rejection of materials are made exclusively by authorized persons.
Restrictions and prohibitions
It is not allowed:
- use of AI to create false or manipulative scientific results;
- generation of fictitious sources, links or data;
- concealment of the fact of use of AI;
- use of AI in violation of copyright or confidentiality requirements.
Disclosure of information about the use of AI
Authors are required to clearly indicate:
- a list of AI tools used;
- the purpose of their use;
- the degree of influence of AI on the preparation of scientific material.
The editorial board reserves the right to request additional clarifications regarding the use of AI.
Liability for Violations
Failure to comply with the requirements of this Policy is considered a violation of academic integrity and may result in the following consequences:
- rejection of the manuscript;
- retraction of an already published article;
- temporary or permanent restriction of publications in the journal;
- informing relevant institutions or organizations.
The journal supports the ethical, responsible and transparent use of artificial intelligence technologies in scientific activities and regularly updates this Policy taking into account the development of technologies and international standards of academic publication ethics.
